The Pasty Place - Petoskey

I’ve been wanting to try this place for quite some time, but I don’t often get downtown. Today, I finally made the trip! Although they didn’t have any grilled sandwiches, I was there specifically to sample a variety of cheeses. First off, the customer service was excellent! The staff member knew everything about each cheese and explained it all very clearly. She was genuinely enthusiastic about showcasing different cheese dishes, and you could see how proud she was of her work—clearly, it’s her passion. I couldn’t wait to dig into the cheese and salami platter, and my high expectations were definitely met! The flavors of the cheeses were incredible, and the textures were delightful. I will absolutely be back! As a cheese lover, this place is now at the top of my must-visit list! If you love cheese, you can’t miss this spot!

I ordered three cheese dishes from Petoskey Cheese for my husband and our August Elopement, and they were a huge hit on our appetizer table. Our family and friends couldn’t stop raving about them! Katie was incredibly friendly and helpful while I was placing the order, and she included a fantastic selection of cheeses that everyone loved trying (the double cream Brie is absolutely divine!). I would definitely order from Petoskey Cheese again without hesitation!

The staff wasn't overly friendly during our visit on November 17, 2018, but she warmed up a bit towards the end of our time there. We also picked up some chutney that was absolutely delightful. I highly recommend checking this place out! They offer a smaller jar for $5.95, but it’s quite tiny.

Unbelievable spread for my brother's wedding. I could have been at the table all night. I loved the selection and presentation so creative and professional. These girls HIT it from the park. we were from crackers, so I would recommend leaving a few boxes for refilling, but otherwise the best food of the day!

Katie was so fun and knowledgeable. She created a customized wine/beer cheese pairing class for our work group that was interesting, helpful, and enjoyable. I’ve never found a cheese I haven’t liked, but Katie’s expertise showed me what true cheesemongering looks like. Thank you for a world class experience!
