Traditionz Wings Grill - Petersburg

On July 31, we visited Traditionz at Five Forks/Cascade Creek, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. My husband and I ordered a chicken and fries basket, and we were quite let down. The fries were greasy, and the chicken seemed like it had been cooked in old oil—it was tough and lacked flavor. We felt like we wasted our money. I plan to inform the clubhouse manager about our experience, as this was not up to standard. Sadly, we won't be supporting this local business again.

These are, without a doubt, the best garlic Parmesan wings I’ve ever had at any wing place!

I would rate this place a zero if I could. I decided to give their mobile food truck a try while it was in Chester. I ordered a sampler that included fish, chicken tenders, and shrimp. I upgraded my sampler to a meal, which was supposed to come with two sides, but I only got one. I asked the staff if the fish had bones in it since I don’t eat fish with bones, and she assured me there were none. When I got home and started eating, I was shocked to find BONES in the fish. Additionally, I was missing my extra side and only received ONE chicken tender in the box. They really need to hire people who know what they're doing.

I was really excited to try this place…so having the mobile kitchen appear in Charles City at a concert was perfect timing. I will say, they had a long line so that was another attraction for me to help make a decision on which truck to visit. The food was ‘ok’, in other words, nothing to write home about. I wanted to try their fish…after standing in line for over 10 minutes, I OVERHEAR that they only have catfish. So I’m hoping that was incorrect because they had no noticeable sign saying that was the case. And whiting was still posted on the menu board. So I waited…and waited…after 20 minutes…we get to the window and hear the cashier finally say it. Now I’ve wasted my time because I’m not a catfish person. But here’s the kicker, they were OUT of whiting and anyone who wanted fish was required to pay an up charge because THEY didn’t have what was listed on their menu nor did they show proper notice of this so any customer wanting FISH had no option but to not get what they set out to do. Either consider your time in line wasted or choose alternative option…chicken. Because I also asked for BBQ..and that was out. Mind you the function had only been in swing for about 1.5 hours. Had there been proper notice, I would not have been waiting in line for 20+ minutes. I would have made my choice to go else where. At that point, going to the next truck was truly not an option because I would have missed the 2nd half of Legacy band because the 1st half was wasted waiting in a long line for a piece of fish I couldn’t purchase. At least they should have not up charged people who waited because of their lack of posted inventory (menu options) currently available. They could have even posted a hand written sign….I’m thinking mission accomplished…no one got out of line….they achieved what they want I gave a 4 for atmosphere because we were at an outdoor concert and that was VERY nice! And I regret standing there for the disappointment and missing the HAWKS delicious fish I was used to. But I wanted to give this place a ‘chance’.
