Harbor - Petersburg

Do not bring fish here for processing... wasn't told a price per pound when fish was dropped off and then when I picked up my 37lbs of rock fish... 215 bucks!!! NOT WORTH IT!!! Take your business down the road to Tonka. 2.50 per lb.

If you find yourself in Petersburg, Alaska, I am gonna assume you like fresh seafood. If you do, this place had been around for 100 years, originally processing fish, they also now package your catch, and for us foodies, they cook that fresh fish in a small deli-like atmosphere with tables inside and outside. Do not forgo the chowder and the captain's plate is delish. Nice hometown feel and love.

While here for summer work this place has made me fall in love with their shrimpys. Imagine a shrimp Mcmuffin but I'll always order two because one just wasn't enough. They do walk up deliveries if you don't plan on eating in their restaurant but next door over inside the Harbor bar which was very convenient. I also enjoyed their shrimp burgers because its also filling. Inside they have premade sandwiches, salads, drinks and smoked salmon to grab from their fridge. If you are more than of fan of this place they also offer merchandise such as sweaters and beanies as souvenirs to sport.

The fish and chips were outstanding and very fresh. The customer service is really good and friendly. We were next door having drinks and they brought our food to us in the bar. They have a great assortment of fresh fish if you want to buy to take home if you were to live here. Thanks for the great fish and service. You made us feel welcome.

I had been dealing with Coastal for 6 years and had 0 issues. This year we dealt with Tom and he has lost our annual business. He stated he wanted the fish brought in whole. He said it cost us more money that way then proceeded to tell him it was more work for him to do it the way we had for 6 years. He was very unprofessional and rude. It was the first bad experience I have had from any business in 6 years in Petersburg. I would suggest looking elsewhere for business until the management issue is corrected.
