Gillmore's Cafe - Petersburg

Great food, price and service. The waitress suggested the chicken dinner and the cherry cake for the desert. Everything was fantastic, just like my grandmother. The owner came by to check us out. I have proposed to stop this diamond in the rough. I know we'll definitely get back in when we're on the way.

Currently, it's Keris Kitchen, and it's fantastic! The food is delicious, the service is top-notch, and since it's a family business, they really take care of you. We always stop here after visiting Lincoln's New Salem. It’s a wonderful spot that’s obviously popular with the locals, always bustling with activity!

We visited this restaurant after exploring Lincoln's New Salem. The service staff was exceptionally friendly and professional, and the food was fantastic! We opted for a spring menu before trying the buffet, and everything was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious.

We visited for the first time last night and really enjoyed it! The fish and chicken were excellent, and I loved the salad bar. My husband ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which he usually finds only okay (he tends to say "it's fine" when he's not impressed, haha). However, he actually liked it this time! The service was friendly, and the place was clean. Now my husband is interested in trying breakfast at the restaurant next door. Thank you!

I gave this restaurant 4 stars only because of their sausage gravy. Since I usually eat breakfast there than any other meal it's the breakfast buffet that I really love except for the sausage gravy. Why you ask... Because it is sweet and in my opinion biscuits and gravy is NOT supposed to be sweet. If someone thinks they are being innovative and creative by putting sugar in the sausage gravy....STOP IT!!! If not for the sweet sausage gravy I would have given Gilmore's family restaurant 5 stars because the service and the rest if the food is top notch good home cook'n. One more time.....please stop making sweet sausage gravy....PLEASE!!!
