The Lounge by Lignum - Peterborough

We stumbled upon this restaurant after a morning hockey game and were pleasantly surprised. The portions were satisfying and the service was excellent.

One of the best breakfast spots in Sarnia, if not the best. The staff is always super friendly and the prices are reasonable.

This restaurant is average for breakfast and lunch, but dinner is where it truly shines.

Peterborough has some good restaurants and it has some dreadful restaurants - and then there are a few gems in town (St Veronus, Rare, Matsu Sushi, Karmas), and now we can add Lignum. The tastes are varied here - curry, chickpea apps, taro chips, steak...More

I visited this restaurant last week with a couple of friends for a glass of wine. The decor is that of an upscale cottage - classy yet cozy. We ended up getting some food as a second thought but are SO glad we did! We were told that the chef was a first time head chef but you wouldn't know it! She's fantastic and every bite was delicious! Very impressive! The service was prompt and attentive. I will definitely be visiting again with an appetite!
