Hot Belly Mama's - Peterborough

We were there early...right at 5 so it was not overly busy. The service was great and the food was as well. My husband and I had blackened chicken and blacken catfish. Both were wonderful. Would definitely go back on our next visit!

They were soooo delicious. Not just your regular nachos, they add something extra. Cilantro pesto or something? I forget what it is, but it is yummy. And the staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Great food and service. The sweet potato fries and dip are easily the best in town. Not for people who don't like spicy food.

The blackened chicken is delicious as are the sweet potato fries and aioli dipping sauce! The beer was not my favorite. Personally I found it watered down tasting. I'd rather go to St. Veronus down the street for a beer. Food and atmosphere are great though!!

It's not the best Cajun food by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a very comfortable place for lunch or dinner or just to hang out and snack. Over the years, the well-worn feel of the place has worn well, and I like the fact that there's plenty of space without the tables being crammed on top of each other. Good music, nice decor, a pleasant patio. The po'boy sandwiches are very tasty; the sweet potato fries are always good, and I really like the spicy corn soup with hush puppies. (I'm getting hungry just writing this.) The service is efficient without being all that friendly - which is fine by me.
