East City Coffee Shop - Peterborough

We had a small breakfast meeting with five people. It felt a bit cramped for all of us, but the food and service were excellent. Thank you, everyone!

I've been living in Peterborough for years and have heard nothing but great things about this restaurant. I have friends who come all the way from Lakefield just to have breakfast here. Finally, I decided to check it out for myself, and I can honestly say WOW! The customer service is outstanding! Even though it's usually busy during peak breakfast hours, you hardly notice it. The staff is incredibly welcoming and make you feel like part of their family. The food is fantastic, and the home fries are truly the best in town. This is officially my new breakfast spot. I can't believe I didn't come here sooner, but I'm thrilled to have discovered such a gem in our community.

My first experience at the restaurant was fantastic. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I will definitely be returning. As for kid-friendliness, they were very accommodating for our little one!

First timer…very pleased with everything. My kind of homefries…great sausages, split and grilled…eggs done to perfection (try their steamed). Definitely 5 stars!

1st visit to this dinner. It is an open kitchen dinner with a nostalgic feel complete with a old time cash register. Yes it is cash only. The breakfast special was tasty. I especially liked that they grilled the sausage and didn't deep fry it. The egg salad sandwich was very good and fresh.
