Bobcaygeon Brewing Co - Peterborough

Tried the Pete's Lager which is 4%. Doesn't taste light. This beer is so hoppy it is almost flowery tasting. Probably the worst craft beer I have ever had.

We really like the northern IPA. Great price and service. Pet-friendly patio as well!

Located halfway between Ottawa and Toronto on Highway 7, just a short drive from Madoc, Ontario, is a beautiful city with hidden gems that should not be missed. As you pass through Peterborough, named after the reviewer (hehehehe), you will encounter the magical town of Bobcaygeon made famous by the Tragically Hip song. While Bobcaygeon is located north of Peterborough, the brewery is conveniently located in the city. The industrial setting may lack cozy seating areas, but the beautiful paintings make up for it. The simple menu offers a variety of craft beers to enjoy. The reviewer tried a flight of four different brews, all of which were tasty but did not stand out as a favorite. The atmosphere was quiet, with only a few other patrons present. The staff member was not very talkative about the beer or the history of the brewery, which would have been appreciated. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, despite some lack of information and heavy reading on the beer labels. In true Canadian fashion, the reviewer finished the flight before leaving, with the theme song of "The Littlest Hobo" playing in their head as they headed home. Cheers!

I received excellent customer service at this restaurant! I placed an order for delivery online and experienced some minor delays that were out of their control. They called me to let me know that my package would be sent out the next day. When my beer arrived, they even included some extra goodies as an apology. While I didn't need the extras, I was grateful for the gesture. Overall, I am a loyal customer who loves their products and appreciates their top-notch customer service.

The staff is friendly, there are board games and puzzles to play with, and the food and beer are both good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
