A&W Restaurant - Peterborough

I recently tried A&W for the first time and had a great experience. I ordered the Double Chicken Buddy Spicy Dill burger, Beyond Mama Burger, and poutine, and everything was delicious. The staff were helpful in suggesting menu items and the restaurant was clean. I would definitely come back again. For vegetarians, the Beyond Meat veggie burger is a good option. There is free parking available at the restaurant and the doors and washroom are wheelchair accessible.

I visited this restaurant after spending time at the beach in the area. My family and I don't eat out often, but today was an exception (we live in downtown T). As soon as we walked in (near the restrooms), we were hit with a strong smell of sewage. There were flies near the cash register, and I was ready to leave the moment I opened my mouth to place my order. However, I really wanted A&W, so I decided to stay. The guy who took my order was friendly. When I went to get drinks and ketchup, I noticed that the counter was very dirty and there weren't enough clean lids. The food was good overall, but they need to improve their cleanliness if they want to remain open. I can't help but wonder if health inspectors have visited recently.

I ordered a hamburger and fries from the drive-through, but was disappointed with the greasy burger. The first batch of fries I received were dry, so I asked for a fresh batch. Unfortunately, the second batch was overly salty and I couldn't eat them. Overall, I found the experience to be disappointing.

The table was clean and the burgers were fresh. I thought Noel had excellent customer service. The experience was better because of him.

Food was standard and mostly just fine. Not extraordinary or anything. Service was not there. This location was DISGUSTING, it smelled like rotting fish and it was extremely dirty. The washrooms weren't as dirty looking as the dining area, but it smelled HORRID.I will likely not be back to A&W after seeing this.And btw, there was MORE than enough staff for someone to wipe the floor or pick up some garbage.
