Ashburnham Ale House - Peterborough

Ambiance was good and the service was excellent. The food was simply outstanding. I had the black bean burger (with fries) and it was the best vegetarian burger I have ever had! For dessert I tried the brownie and it was so good! Highly recommend this place and I am sad that I do not live in Peterborough because I would definitely be a regular!!!

Jessica was great. The staff, the beer and the food, did I mention the food. It was a great meal. Calamari then the Ale house Rib-eye hot pot with a pint of Weiss beer from Collingwood. Delish!

Upbeat, kind, and attentive folks, absolutely awesome menu with plenty of interesting choices for meat-eaters and veggie folk alike lol. The atmosphere isn't over-done (ever feel out of place in some restaurants? not here, it simply feels cozy and comfortable with a real wood fireplace going in winter too. There's always interesting art and old photos of the city hanging on the walls which has inspired many great conversations. I've made this place a frequent stop for a pint after my long rides and would recommend it in a heartbeat. :

I came for lunch with a large group of people on Friday all taking a course in town, the restaurant was very busy, we did not have a reservation, Jess and the staff on the fly rearranged an area so all 15 of us could sit together. Most of the group was from out of town and had not been there before. After lunch the entire group commented on how great the service was, everyone loved the food! Having worked in the industry, and realizing it is very difficult when 15 people show up when you're busy, no reso, have never been to the restaurant before, all want separate bills and are in a bit of a rush to top it off!!! So, just wanted to say thanks for being so accommodating! Amazing service, and a delicious lunch! Thanks Jess! Shawn
