Railway Hotel/Motel - Peterborough

We had dinner at the hotel, I had T bone and my wife had chicken schnitzel, both dishes were plentiful and cooked to our liking, the salad bar was a little thin but over all recomendable.The dining room could have been a little warmer considering the cold night. Staff were friendly, an enjoyable evening

Every person from owners to serving staff were friendly and efficient. The meal was relaxed and enjoyable in the beautiful period dining room. Full marks for freshness quality and quantity.Have visited once before and next time will take a group. Bookings for groups advisable as they often have groups of 20 or more. Met my gluten free needs easily.

Well the owners geoff and marg what a wonderful couple nothing is to much for them to help you I was married in the bear garden sadly to say now is a dinning room but also beautiful the food is always fantastic and the service is unbeatable. The left for a while and the hotel went down hill but now are back with gusto dont miss the opportunity when passing through Peterborough

After a shocker with another 'accomodation location' in Peterborough we found ourselves staying at the Railway Hotel. Rooms basic but clean, in town, meals at the hotel amazing and the hotel itself a majestic old hotel well maintained. Owners offered great hospitality.

First night we went they were very busy and the cook took ill and backup was not available so they were under pressure so they did not hesitate to apologise when we went to order and warned us of a long delay which we really appreciated so we went elsewhere. The next night we went they not only recognised us but went out of their way to not only apologise but to go out of their way to cater for my coeliac wife and make it a good night. The pizza was excellent with generoys toppings and the grilled king george whiting and salad bar for my wife very good.
