Ambrosia Indian Cusine - Petaluma

I was thrilled to see that this restaurant has a full page dedicated to vegan options on their menu. When I dined there with two friends, we tried a variety of dishes. The server recommended the okra dish to us, and although we were hesitant at first, it ended up being my favorite. The restaurant has a romantic atmosphere, making it perfect for a date night, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in town.

There are 11 vegan menu items that are clearly labeled, making it easy to choose an amazing meal. The food is incredibly delicious with complex and sophisticated spices that are as tasty as you will find in any restaurant in San Francisco. I had the Chana Masala, Coconut Vegetables, and the Okra Masala (which is one of my favorite Indian dishes and hard to come by, especially prepared so well). This restaurant is definitely one of my top picks.

I recently attended a vegan brunch at this restaurant that had two seatings for the day. I arrived at 11 am and was warmly greeted by the host. The restaurant was practicing social distancing, with all tables spaced at least 6 feet apart. The dishes served were delicious, although I wasn't familiar with them beforehand. We started with an appetizer that was not on the regular menu, followed by a large platter of food including fresh veggies, fruits, nan bread, 4 Indian samplers, coconut rice pudding, mimosas, and bottled water. I truly enjoyed the meal and hope that they continue hosting these vegan brunches or even dinners in the future. Hopefully, once the pandemic is over, we may even see a return of buffet-style service.

We ordered several dishes from the vegan menu. All were delicious. Our favorite was the lentil dahl. Simple and such good flavor. Their rice is heavenly; so fluffy!

I'll make this brief. If you're looking for the best Indian cuisine, this is the place to go. The ingredients are top-notch and the flavors taste like homemade. This was my first time dining here for dinner, but it definitely won't be my last. Our server, Hareesh, was exceptional and made us feel welcomed. The food was absolutely delicious!
