The cabbage-carrot slaw and pickled cucumbers that are included are worth their weight in gold. Next was the exceptional Build Your Own Bison Burger. Cooked and seasond perfectly with lettuce, onion, tomatoe, crispy bacon, the pièce de résistance, a farm fresh egg; yummy! The outside is as nondescript as it gets. The inside is eclectic and could use some updating. It's a mix of colorful modern-ish paintings and old time lighting and architecture. It would be great to see a remodeling that takes you back to the time when the building was new: embracing the history and built-in charm. Regardless, if you get the chance to visit, you should; if you're passing through, it's worth the detour. Ciara, our server, was friendly, attentive and prompt.
Have been stopping by here each time I'm in Peru, Indiana. Today I had the Bison burger with a fried egg, and it was absolutely delicious!. Can't say enough good things about the quality of the food and politeness of the staff. Highly recommend!
The food is unlike anything you should expect to find in Peru, Indiana. Very fresh and very hip menu, great burgers, tacos, and I enjoyed the Nashville hot chicken. The atmosphere/decor leaves a little to be desired but the service and food will impress. The beer menu is great as well. If you are traveling through Indiana and looking for something other than Subway/McDonalds/Speedway roller hot dog, venture 10min off the highway to visit this place. It 's also in a historic little town, famous for the Circus days.
Cool restaurant in historic downtown Peru. Good selection of Indiana beers on draft. I really enjoyed the Nashville Hot Seitan Sandwich and the Mexican Street Corn. Lots of good vegetarian and vegan options. Well worth a detour off US 31 if you're in the area. I look forward to trying more of the menu.
I have been here twice this summer and I live in Indy. Found it thru yelp while I was traveling to MI. The plain exterior makes you think twice but once inside the food will make you come back. They are known for their tacos, which are amazing but everything I have eaten there is great. The deviled eggs melt in your mouth. I had the sesame crusted Ahi tuna in crispy wontons both visits because I liked them so much. The portion size looked huge when it came out but I had no trouble eating it all. Loved the dressing on it. Plus they have good local beers on draft.
