The owner and staff are welcoming and always willing to chat about anything Persian. I especially enjoy their cream cakes, baklava, and specialty bread. They also offer a variety of Persian spices, herbs, loose leaf teas, nuts, unique drinks, and rose water. I adore this place and feel like I am transported to a exotic destination every time I visit.
Saffron Fine Persian Cuisine has closed down and has been replaced by Saffron Star Turkish Cuisine, which now offers a kebab menu. The old restaurant's website still features an extensive Persian cuisine menu, so this Google Maps entry should be removed to avoid confusion for customers.
I was very disappointed with the Persian food at this restaurant. I have tried better options in Sydney that were more authentic. I had high expectations for this place but the food did not look or taste as good as I had hoped.
I believe the service is excellent and the prices are fair for Persian cuisine. The atmosphere is cozy and tidy. There are not many Persian restaurants in Perth, so Saffron stands out with its authentic Persian dishes. Highly recommend trying it out.
I have been here twice. This lovely family-run restaurant is tucked away in a shopping street. The dishes were served in a welcoming and friendly manner. Prices were fair. The kebabs were tasty, but a bit greasy. I tried the traditional gorme sabsi lamb dish, but was disappointed as it lacked meat and tasted burnt. However, the broth and yogurt sides were delicious.
