The pizza tasted like something you would make at home, and the fish seemed to have been frozen for a long time. Both dishes lacked flavor and seasoning. We asked if we could have plain pasta instead of squid ink pasta in a dish, but were told no. The restaurant was in a dark, poorly lit room, and the service was just okay. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not what it used to be and I will not be returning.
You can’t blame COVID for we were served tonight Both dishes gnocchi and asparagus risotto were almost the worst dishes I’ve ever had to pay $30.00 for The service was excellent the staff are very attentive but I am so sorry the food is disgusting...Cmon guys pick your game up
My husband and I had been recommended Lalla Rookh and had been expecting a nice Italian restaurant but it was no better than a cheap dinghy place. No atmosphere, loud and second rate food. We had Arancini which was dry and no sauce whatsoever. My...husband then had veal which was a crumbed cutlet again dry and but a drop of any sauce and a little bit of sone sort of coleslaw. Totally disappointing and will certainly not return.
No atmosphere, ridiculously overpriced meals and drinks. $500 for 4 people to have a very ordinary meal and a few drinks is obscene. Then it was too hard to split the bill in two. Don’t get caught out by this second rate ripoff, find somewhere...else, have a decent meal and save hundreds.
This restaurant experience was truly disappointing. We were excited for our first date night out after COVID restrictions were lifted. The service was friendly, but unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect. Our main dishes (gnocchi and crab pasta) lacked seasoning and flavor, with only a few bits of crab in a runny white sauce. The starters were also uninspiring and outdated. The prices were high considering the quality of the food. The service staff did not inquire about our enjoyment of the meal, perhaps indicating a lack of concern. The decor felt outdated and tired, resembling a disco from the 2000s or a poorly planned rave club. Additionally, the acoustics in the restaurant were poor, making conversation difficult. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had in Perth and definitely not suitable for a date night.
