I had eggplant dish as I'm vegetarian at the moment and spring rolls, my wife had beef brisket.<br/ Filling fast and friendly<br/ Under 40$ with drinks<br/ The Chinese patrons all seemed to get massive bowls of soups and noodles<br/ Will try these next time<br/
After a short wait, a bowl arrived at my table filled with a dark red broth hiding plenty of chillies under the thin noodles, along with chunks of tender beef brisket and pieces of bok choy. The broth was flavorful, although it could have used a bit more seasoning. The Szechuan chillies provided a nice level of spiciness, giving a subtle numbing sensation without being overwhelmingly hot. Slurping up the broth with the noodles was a satisfying experience that warmed me up quickly. I particularly enjoyed the incredibly tender and flavorful beef brisket, which practically melted in my mouth. Overall, it was a fantastic meal for the weather, and I easily finished off the entire bowl of soup.
Don't know why I didn't try this place sooner. I quite like the noodles here and not too overpriced either. They are another Szechuan style restaurant offering a mix of share dishes as well as individual noodle dishes. We had the Wanton Noodle Soup and the Braised Beef Noodle Soup. The wanton soup was different to the standard Malaysian style as their broth was alot oilier and strong sesame oil flavour, the wanton doesn't have shrimp but was ok. Love the noodles they use, chewy and smooth and not egg based. The braised beef was tender and we'll braised, had salted vegetables and soup was oily and spicy but tolerable and not overpowering. Was a decent feed.
They were very accommodating for a large group. The food is delicious and authentic, with good vegetarian options! Would definitely recommend if looking for yummy Chinese food in the city!
I organized a large group dinner at this restaurant. Everyone was impressed with the authenticity of the dishes - it's rare to find proper Sichuan cuisine. I especially recommend the Fish Fragrant Eggplant, but all dishes were delicious and properly spiced. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were accommodating to any requests we had, and very generous. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Perth.
