I feel like it's better to take away? I ordered the roast pumpkin blind and left feeling filled! I was a bit worried that the portion size would not be worth it for $20.90 AUD (it was $17.90 originally but added with $3 to get vegan cheese) but was pleasantly wrong! Besides the portion size, the Blini itself was fantastic. They definitely didn't jump on the fillings! This is a solid option. I would definitely come back here if I were in the area. 3.75/4 (points removed for $3 to sub vegan cheese. I understand that vegan cheese is more expensive than cow's milk cheese. But $3 seems like a lot considering it's just a chip of cheese. I think that $1-2 would be more reasonable for the amount of cheese actually in the blini)
This charming little restaurant is located on the bustling Albany Highway. While small inside, there is also limited outdoor seating available. It may be more suited for takeaways, but I decided to dine in and try the roast pumpkin blini. Despite my initial concerns about the portion size for $20.90 AUD (originally $17.90 with an extra $3 for vegan cheese), I left feeling pleasantly full. The blini was delicious, generously filled, and exceeded my expectations. Overall, I found this to be a solid dining option and would definitely return if in the area. I deducted 0.25 points for the $3 charge for vegan cheese, as I believe a lower cost would be more reasonable for the amount provided.
This is a nice little fuge on the busy albany highway. it is quite small on the inside, although has limited space for outside seats as well. I feel that it is better to take away? I would definitely come back if I were in the opposite. 3.75/4 (points removed for $3 to sub vegan cheese. I understand that vegan cheese is more expensive than cow milk cheese. Authentic Malaysian food! Ordered the Nasi biryani with beef rendang and fish Assam pedals and the ayam penyet I would only wish that they gave more of the dishes (the biryani had only 3 pieces of fish and there was only a spoonful of pickled vegetables for both plates) to go with the rice
I highly recommend this restaurant. It is one of my favorite top-rated cafes that serves authentic Malaysian cuisine. I tried the Nasi Goreng Pattaya with a side of Ayam Goreng (fried chicken) and the flavors were incredible. The portions are generous and well worth the money. The chicken was exceptionally flavorful and we regret not ordering more. They have a wide variety of dishes on the menu, so I will definitely be returning to try more.
