The coffee was served in an espresso-sized cup and the lids were dusty and dirty. I was very disappointed with this experience and cannot justify the high price for such low quality.
This restaurant is a hidden gem along the A9 highway with excellent coffee. The desserts were a delightful surprise as well! Located at the beginning of the hermitage walk, it is sure to be bustling during the summer months when they start serving ice cream.
I ordered two coffees and a sandwich for £10.50. The sandwich was supposed to be cheese, spinach, and caramelized onion, but it turned out to be caramelized onion processed cheese slices. The server had long hair that was not tied back and handled all of the food with her bare (unwashed) hands, which had very long varnished nails. I can only imagine the germs that were potentially present. It appears that this establishment does not have the necessary health and hygiene certification. The prices were unreasonably high. I would not recommend this cafe.
A beautiful pleaant cup of tea served by a very pleasant young man. Refreshing after a walk from Birnam over to The Hermitage. Decent prices in a peaceful place
The genuine friendly service at this wee cafe was fantastic. The sausage rolls used real meat and crispy pastry excellent. Cammy Jackson
