San Remo Pizza - Perth Amboy

This place is incredible, and it's not just about the food—it's the entire atmosphere. My best friend and I dined here, and I can honestly say that no amount of money can compare to the friendships and positive memories made in this pizzeria. The owner, Angelo, was fantastic, and he truly exemplifies how uplifting and powerful friendship can be in a person's life.

I've been enjoying pizza for over 50 years, from NYC to Chicago, and Angelo's ranks among the best! The food is not only authentic, but it also has that classic pizzeria vibe that reminds me of my younger days. Bring the whole family; nothing beats a cake that's freshly baked straight from the oven.

I've been dining at this restaurant for years, experiencing its transitions through different management, from Little Italy to Primos, but Angelo's consistently serves the best pizza. If you think you've had great pizza, you haven't tried it here—this is truly the best. I highly recommend the deep dish pepperoni. What keeps me coming back, though, is the welcoming atmosphere; as soon as I walk in, I feel like I'm in the theme song from "Cheers"—“Where everyone knows your name.” This perfectly captures the loyalty they show to their customers. Anyone who's lived in this town for decades will agree that Angelo's return to the community feels like a beloved family member coming home.

The Sicilian pizza is the best if you don't want to venture into Staten Island. The small rice balls with only cheese in them are also amazing. 100% choose Angelo for Pizzaover the others in the area.
