Skye Dragon Restaurant - Perth

Just picked up Chinese food from Sky Dragon for our anniversary dinner and it was such a disappointment...it was terrible,cold, dried out, no flavor. Everything was different, nothing was the same!! The thick black hair just topped it off!! We have been getting take out there for a very long time, more than 20 years and its normally delicious!All new people working in there and they said the owners are away on vacation....so Yep i packed it up and took it back! I wasnt paying 92.00 to choke the garbage down, it was a matter of principal.I'm thinking maybe its new owners. Does anybody know? FYI... I noticed the post below said it's the new owners....I sure hope not?? If these are new owners they have some very big shoes to fill and we have expectations of good food. They wont last too long with this food.......

My husband and friends went there to celebrate my birthday. Love this Chinese restaurant. Lady who owns it is so friendly and the food is superb. Whenever you order you always get lots on your plate. Have eaten in other Chinese restaurants but they can't compare to the Skye Dragon.

When people are leaving the restaurant telling you that you had better be prepared for a long wait!!! Other people are leaving because they have only received fed one dish and its cold. Tables are full of people with no food it is a sign...More

One of my most favorite places to eat in Perth, is now off my list. Not sure if it is a change of management or not, as we were advised that the owners were on vacation. Was told my takeout would take 30 mins, but it really took 60 mins. Was cold and totally tasteless. The rice was dry and no flavor, ribs were dry and hard and no flavor and the egg rolls were totally disgusting. Such a disappointment, we have been eating here for years. I hope the new owners step it up a little. Will not be recommending this "use to be Hotspot" anymore.

New staff today, egg rolls tasted different, they were ok but not like before. The sauce came before the egg roll so it cooled down. When the main course came, the rice was sticky and had a smoky taste, the red sauce for the chicken balls was diluted and not as much flavour as before. The ribs were dry and tough. It was not a good experience today. I wish the new owners well, but this is not how to start things off. Overnight everything has changed. :(
