First, this is not a real “restaurant” nobody will sit you or serve you, no one will visit you, no one will wait for you. This location is hardly a restaurant, the interior is not beautiful or even fully furnished (also before Covid). Think of this place as a “go” spot that just happens to eat tables and chairs, plus a bar. Second, yes everything is a la carte here, Tortillas are extra (old, where better then the new ones they started to make), Salsa and Nopales are also extra, neither really so good they skip. PreCovid each pound was about $8, which was a deal, now from Oct 2021 their prices rose up to $12 per lb, which is quite the current rate anyway. But these Carnitas and beech is top notch, better then Dos Portillos and more established then street vendor. Third, yes there are really long lines (1 hour) especially Saturday and Sunday morning. La gente esta cruda and want her carnitas. The long lines are a witness to their quality and taste of their food, they are the second to none. Everything here is boiled as it should be, not dry at all, but also not too fatty, again the beech is also top notch. For years, we have been acting as a patron and will continue with the price increases, long lines and relatively far from me, their so good.
The Carnitas are absolutely delicious... One thing you need to know is that you are waiting in a long line especially at weekends, but trust me that it is totally worth, you will not be disappointed.
Authentic, Michoacan Carnitas. Very delicious taste!!! A must try from everything you do Mexiclans...
The carnitas are great. Came in sunday around 9 before kick off a d there was a line out the door. When i left it was even longer. Bring cash! They have a atm inside but if possible bring enough CASH!
The best carnitas I’ve tried. I cannot get enough of it. I wish they were open the rest of the days.
