There are few decent perpignan options for vegetarians (mainly mediocre and unimaginative dishes, such as margarita pizzas too expensive, etc). but this restaurant offered three or four vegetarian options and at a very reasonable price as well. we tried different and they were all delicious, just like the homemade bread that comes with a yogurt sauce. I especially liked the stuffed eggplants and my husband loved the felafel. the restaurant is located in a quiet street, with a pleasant seating area outside as indoors. The staff was adorable. a great culinary experience.
I love "French cuisine" but to be honest, it gets boring after a while if you are accustomed to a wide variety of food styles as we are in the United States. This Turkish restaurant is an antidote to this trouble. food was not spicy with spices piquant, just spices more spiced than French food. Nicely complex taste. service was good, the restaurant was attractive and friendly people. the only small problem was that it was in a alley, but even it was clear and clean rather than dark, crassy and scary. It is in the heart of the old city, which is now more elitist/tourist. the best cold stuffed grape leaves I've ever had. I like Greek/American hot meat better, but it's just me. They had a subtle taste. I'll come back here to eat!
Excellent food with fantastic service. better than I remember the turquoise food. Juicy lamb with stuffed bread and Bulgarian wheat.
This restaurant is a favorite. It changes a lot of French cuisine. The flavors are wonderful. I recommend the 10 mezes - an excellent dish to share or to have in one course. owners are really friendly and helpful. I love red wine called yakut - the best I think served cold. it is a shame that the nearby bar sometimes plays drum and bass music so strong. I don't know who's listening! The price is very affordable.
Located in a narrow street / alley near Castillet, this restaurant offers outdoor seats as well as indoor tables if the weather is fresh or wet. We had dinner at the beginning of the evening with very few others, so we were able to discuss with the owners who were very friendly. food was typical of Turkish cuisine, except for the fact that much of the bread provided looked more like the French baguette than at pitta, but nevertheless delicious. deconstructed version with the constituent elements carefully presented separately on the plate instead of stacking one on the other. to see again without a doubt during our next visit to perpignan.
