Le Cantine - Pergine valdarno

Probably the worst service experience we have ever had at a restaurant. When we arrived at the place, it took about 10 minutes before anyone bothered to come and greet us. It was clear from the waiter's demeanor that he felt inconvenienced by our presence since we didn't have a reservation, and he had to check if there were any available tables. After we were seated, it took at least another 15 minutes for the waiter to bother taking our drink orders. He seemed completely disinterested and couldn't care less if we were there or not. We finally placed our food orders, with three of us ordering main courses and one ordering an appetizer as well. However, all the food was served at the same time. It's understandable that the food for our children would come out quickly, but serving my appetizer along with the main course made no sense, as it just sat there getting cold. Once again, the waiter showed no concern. The appetizer, a tartare, was honestly the worst tartare I have ever had. It was just a lump of meat with a dash of raw truffle on top. Our pizzas were okay, but I expected better from an Italian pizzeria. Our local pizza place back home in Denmark serves the same quality. When someone finally bothered to take our dessert order, only three out of four orders were served. When I brought this to the attention of the waiter, he once again showed complete indifference and didn't apologize for the mistake. He simply marched into the kitchen and returned with the missing dessert 10 minutes later. The dessert, Tiramisu, was probably the only highlight of our visit to the restaurant. When we asked for the bill, the same disinterested waiter attended to us. After waiting for 15 minutes with no progress, we finally went up to the counter to pay. Even then, it took another 10 minutes before I could finally pay and leave this terrible restaurant. Service is everything in the restaurant industry, and it was completely lacking here. We have visited over 100 restaurants in recent years, and this was definitely the low point in terms of service.

Excellent food/wine at great prices! Glad to find such good cuisine in such a remote spot. Love the authentic feel of the restaurant, although the decor was a little dated...

This is essentially the only restaurant for dinner in a small town. It is deservedly busy with a good typical Tuscan menu including pizza. Between 2 couples we had beef tartar, wild boar tagliatelle, grilled vegetables and 2 sorts of pizza. The food was all magnificent and was the local wine , and the service. My wife and I have been here before and will certainly be back when in the area. Highly recommend!

Bel locale appena fuori dal centro storico di Valdarno pergine. io e la mia ragazza abbiamo preso per antipasto un pecorino avido al piatto con tartufo, due ottime pizze e due dolci altrettanto eccellenti (degno di menzionare il mio semifreddo alla grappa. Mi è piaciuto molto mentre non amo la grappa, quindi lo farai sicuramente torneremo, forse con l'arrivo della bella stagione per godere della splendida vista che il posto offre.

Ho pranzato una domenica vicino al fuoco ed è stato piacevole. il menu è interessante. hanno una carne eccellente abbiamo preso sia il taglio che la grigliata! eccellente l'unica cosa che il vino era vecchio..un pazzo del 2016 imbattibile l'abbiamo lasciato lì. .
