Mes'ye Zhan Pol' - Penza

A loss of a loss! I always considered MJP one of the best cafes in Penza, not only for its location and service but also for the quality of its food. I particularly enjoyed their creative breakfast options. While other places offered typical business lunches, they had a nice selection of tasty and relatively affordable breakfasts. But alas… everything comes to an end. Initially, I found that instead of the promised bruschetta with garlic butter, I was served just a slice of regular bread, which they would toast upon my request. It was without the butter and garlic, but I let that slide. Today, despite my request, they brought me raw bread again. And instead of a cappuccino… I cannot even describe that chicory concoction with synthetic cream. I couldn’t bring myself to drink it. I simply paid and left. Monsieur Jean-Paul is no longer my place.

Thank you for a lovely evening! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful; we enjoyed everything immensely. We were particularly impressed with the service—our waiter Danil was simply outstanding. We had so many requests, and he fulfilled them all perfectly.

I have mixed feelings about this establishment. There are many children present, and the portrait of a nude figure in the restroom feels inappropriate. The breakfast selection is good, but on Sundays it gets fully booked and the staff struggles to keep up.

Cosy and nicely decorated cafe. Ordered the sandwich and was delicious. Most importantly for tourist, it has English menu.

Nice place and cousin for the couples and friends !
