The Oar House - Pensacola

Friday lunch. People say don't eat steak in a seafood restaurant or fish in a steakhouse. However, The Oar House gets acclaim for its only steak option Filet Mignon. So I was tempted, and I was not disappointed. Cooked medium rare, came a little on the rare side (but I'm good with that), and a very nice char on the outside. Worthy of 5 stars. My wife chose the special, which was a breaded Mullet Basket. It wasn't bad, but it was boring. It could have used some seasoning, not just a remoulade dip. We shared the Gator Bites for an appetizer Tender, and good.

Very nice place to eat pretty good food with good service and watch boats.

The was a fun place to have lunch. We were seated by the water, the view was great. The servers were very attentive and friendly. We had the fried flounder and shrimp basket, hush puppies, which were delicious! The breading and flavor were perfect and the food was served hot. I substituted the fries for a side salad, which was allowed, and it was fresh, loaded with different ingredients and the dressing was homemade. Very delicious!! I can't wait to go back!
