The oxtail were very tender and tasty. Usually, I don’t eat much of the rice and peas, but it was great too. The owner is a very nice lady. Unfortunately, I was so focused on eating that I forgot to take a picture.
One of the best Island Food restaurants, in Pensacola hands down. I remember this young lady from when I use to go to her house to purchase plates from her. She told me she was going to open up her own restaurant, and bam she did. I love her spirit. She has such a kind soul.
5/4/23 My first time here had the oxtail plate and beef patty with ginger beerMore food than I thought I was going to get oxtail (about 5 good size pieces) red beans and rice and cabbage my togo plate was so full I was surprised that it did not spillI could not finish there was so much. The beef patty was larger than the frozen with a flaky crust and with that lovely spice known within Jamaican foodThe ginger beer surprised meThe best I had and it is from Jamaica which other brands are lnotOverall I am presently satisfied with Island Fish and GritsJust remember this when you goThe menu is based on what is abled to get at market so food does run out quickly and very short on staff so call ahead to find out what is on the menu first
