The Valley Cafe - PENNSBURG

This was our first time visiting The Valley Cafe and it definitely was a wonderful experience!! We were seated right away, the waitress took our order promptly, and the food was on the table in a flash. Everyone was really attentive to our every need and the food was really good. I would highly recommend The Valley Cafe!! We have lived in the area for approximately 25 years, and I can?t believe we haven?t heard about them sooner. Definitely a great find.

The Italian Hoagie was fantastic! The meat, salad, and tomatoes were all delicious. The hoagie was incredibly fresh, and the fries were cooked to order. Overall, it was very good food!

There were six parties that contain two children (5 and 12) and one person in a wheelchair. We waited until a big enough table was free instead of putting together two smaller tables that were empty, and there were no smaller parties to sit. Our order came and two of the meals were mixed. The restaurant was busy when we first came there with two overwhelming waitresses, a young inexperienced host, and the owner went out instead of bursting. The food was good, but not worth the ant.

The food is quite bland. The French toast is simply egg and bread, and the omelette tastes more like an egg roll with mixed flavors rather than being properly filled. The SOS has a taste of flour with no flavor whatsoever. Lunch options seem old and frozen, and it’s hard to believe they change the frying oil often. The place also lacks cleanliness, so I would recommend saving your money.

Trust the reviews (Glad I did! It's good breakfast food. I had the biscuits gravy with potatoes and a side of scrambled eggs w/cheese (order from a variety of cheeses . My bf had grits, Belgium waffles w/a side of ham. The grits needed a lil sugar butter. The biscuits gravy were very tasty though (not overly salty and nice and thick . The potatoes were good as well (not overdone or dried out . They even had the Tabasco I requested for my eggs. I was pleasantly surprised to find the place opens extra early (6am and was larger than I thought it to be (some of the pics on here are deceiving . It's actually two adjacent rooms with a bar counter on the one side. Staff was friendly and attentive. We'll be back.
