Pizzeria La Vestina - Penne

This place never disappoints. The food is plentiful and excellent and the staff are outstanding. It is incredibly reasonably priced and we always recommend to friends.

We love this place. Down-to-earth, hearty delicious dishes, authentic Pennese feel that appeals to locals and visitors alike. When most other eateries are closed during the mid-day siesta, we can always count on Vestina to feed us when we are really hungry.

Fabulous location used by the local community and both my wife I made to feel so welcome when visiting last November whilst looking for a second home. Very reasonably priced fare, welcoming helpful staff especially when my wife locked herself in the toilet had to be rescued by the owner! See you next week when we return (January 2020)

'La Vestina ' is the kind of restaurant that you might look at hesitantly from the outside and be put off by the fact that its is packed with local diners from the town of Penne. But this is a sure sign that it is precisely the place where you SHOULD eat to taste the authentic cooking of the region. The 'porchatta ' is sliced from a roasted pig sitting above the grill. It tastes like pork should taste. You can sample a variety of home cooked vegetable dishes too which sit mouth-wateringly under the Perspex screen. All you need to do is point! I ate there twice and drank a quarter litre of local wine. When the 'padrone ' told me how much I owed him for the meal, he misinterpreted my facial expression. I had to explain that it was the lowest I had ever paid in my life for decent Italian food. I resolved never to eat out again in England. With 'La Vestina ', you cannot go wrong and you will eat in the company of ordinary local clients, who know when they are on to a good thing!
