The variety of the menu was very good, from a $20 special of T-bone or Ribs, jacket potato & beer. Then the regular menu from fresh Pink Ling, beer battered, crumbed or grilled, a huge 550+gm Ribeye Steak, a "build your own" Parmy, Lamb Cutlets to an Assorted Seafood Platter with lots more in between. We had the Pink Ling, beer battered with chips & salad and the Assorted Seafood Platter. The fish was absolutely delicious, beautiful white flakes and crispy batter with fresh salad etc. The Assorted Seafood Platter included the beer batterd Pink Ling, batterd scallops, prawns and a special "crumbed" calamari with chips & fresh salad, what a meal! The service was friendly, fast & efficient, in all, a great meal in lovely surroundings. The most expensive item on the menu was the huge Ribeye steak but everything else is on par (no pun intended) with other local restaurants. We would recommend the Tasmania Golf Club as a great eating place and in the summer has nice views of the greens etc.
Vege s cooked to perfection . Huge serving of salmon also perfect followed by delicious apple crumble . Very satisfying .
We had lunch here on Wednesday and had a good choice of traditional main courses - lamb cutlets, fish of the day, schnitzel etc with choice of chips and salad or vegetables. We had vegetables which were all freshly cooked. There are also a couple of more "adventurous" specials on offer. Deserts are house made - sticky date pudding was very good. Everything attractively presented and very well priced, staff friendly and helpful and the chef comes out to check if you have enjoyed the meal.
A great meal. Plenty of it. Prices ranged from cheap eats 'specials' to good steaks etc. Service was friendly, a tad slow but it was quite a busy night. A good atmosphere for a casual night out with friends. Nice views. Good choice of wines. Steaks were sensational and desserts delicious.
For $20 a t-bone with jacket potato and beverage, I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. The t-bone was cooked as ordered and even came with a choice of sauce. The jacket potato had a lovely smokey flavour and was perfectly cooked. Choice of beverage includes soft drink, beer and wine. We also ordered the $20 rib special and these were flavoursome and tender. Dessert was a delicious creme brûlée Specials are only available on a Wednesday or Thursday after 5pm. While the building itself is a bit old fashioned, a bit like the menu, it does traditional food very well and at a very reasonable price. Worth a visit.
