Sabores E Peripecias - Peniche

We were very fortunate to find this quaint wine bar. Emanuel, our server, was very knowledgeable of everything on the menu as well as the wine and ports. They have a small kitchen so they make sure that their tapas will be special and they were. This was our best dining experience in Peniche thus far. We highly recommend it!

We had an amazing dinner with perfect wine to each course. Finished it all with port-wine, recommended from the staff. Would highly recommend this place.

What a great and charming place!! This tiny gem is on a back street in Peniche but it is definitely worth finding!! There are only 3 tables inside and one outside, which adds to the charm. The menu is written in Portuguese on a chalk board inside the doorway. The owner/chef personally translated EVERY item and described its preparation. The food was amazing! My husband and I shared 3 dishes. We had a beef brisket dish (slow cooked for 3many hours according to the owner), a smoked pork sausage with corn meal, beans and spinach, along with a sweet potato glazed with honey and cinnamon. WOAH! Each dish was so delectable and substantial. We left stuffed and totally satisfied! The proprietor could not have been nicer, thoughtful, and accommodating. Make sure to order the beef brisket dish if it is on the menu. It's incredible!!! We highly recommend this hidden gem!

What can I say. This place is a absolute gem. Really amazing Wine list and great Food I will definitely go back again. Go and check it as it’s a pretty small so you might have to hang around.
