Minhoto 2 - Peniche

We ordered rice with seafood and it was. huge! really, really good food and good service, the price was absolutely fair! when we come back to peniche we come back here!

We went along last night having read the reviews on trip advisor and I cannot believe it is the same place, no atmosphere or ambiance and very average food, we can tinned octopus salad and, to be fair very tasty, Portuguese sausage. But it was...just on a plate, no attempt at dressing it up. For main we had mussel and onion stew, half of the mussels were cold, grilled squid but no sauce or dips, a meat dish that came with tinned peach and pineapple that was so tough it could have been leather, the meat not the pineapple. And a Greek salad without any cucumber or onion and the smallest amount of feta and olives to show it wasn't just cut up tomatoes. I do feel bad for not saying this to the management but they were far more interested in getting us out and someone else in. Very poor

When walking the streets of Peninche we found an empty table for four on this little small terrace just under the little tower with working clock (rings every 15 minutes) and decided to go for lunch. A perfect lunch with great seafood and alentejo pork....Wonderful food and great service made this a perfect lunch stop.

After passing several restaurants all with large queues, we forgot in was a bank holiday weekend, we came upon this small family place. Although we did have to queue, but only for a short time we were not disappointed , a lovely meal and pleasant...staff. Fresh swordfish, fresh crab and peppered steak for us all. I would differently go back to this restaurant again.

Having seen the reviews on trip advisor we sought out this small restaurant. We particularly wanted to try the fish stew which was advertised as by reservation only. We arrived as the restaurant opened, ordered the meal and then went for a pleasant walk while...the dish was prepared. Service was efficient and friendly, the meal was excellent. We were a party of two adults, and four children (11, 10, 6 and 20 We were told that a stew for three would be sufficient as the helpings were ample, which they were! Well worth a visit.
