Wendy B's Fine Foods - Penetanguishene

I am pleased with the homemade food at this restaurant. The prices are great and the portions are generous. The take out containers are just the right size for a dinner for two. I am excited that Wendy will be opening for the season tomorrow so I can stock up on fantastic meatloaf wrapped in bacon, chicken pot pies, meat pies, delicious quiches, lasagna, and baked goods galore. Everything is incredibly tasty. This restaurant is a must-visit in Lafontaine.

I used to frequent this restaurant every summer, but I now find it too pricey for the quality of the food. Although the food is delicious, the steep prices have deterred me from visiting for the past two years.

Stopped here to load up for a week at the cottage. We bought frozen beef pie, chicken pot pie and beef tortierre. Followed cooking instructions and voila - easy tasty hearty meals. all were excellent. For dessert, we tried the freshly baked butter tarts, chocolate chip cookies, raspberry pie and strawberry/rhubarb pie and chocolate brownies. strawberry/rhubarb pie and the chocolate brownies were my favourites. I only wish this place was closer to home; I'd shop here all the time if it were.
