Well prepared food in location with a great view. The 10 minute drive from Panes is dramatic and worth the trouble. The Hake and Douro wine recommended by the owner were fabulous.

On our way from Potes to Las Arenas we stopped at Casa Julián just for a short break. But then we were intrigued by the restaurant and decided to eat there. The staff was nice and we received our order really fast. We ordered several dishes to share and it was all very good. The wine selection too. Would definitely recommend!

The two of us enjoyed everything about the restaurant until.... The rice pudding arrived.... My rice pudding was heavily salted.... Really SALTED... through and through ... Including the carmelized top. I remained quiet and ate most of the rice pudding not wanting to insult the chef or waiter. I finally asked my Friend to taste my rice pudding. His reaction was that it was completely different than his and that it tasted burned and salty .... Not anything like his. This could have been a simple mistake ... If this was an honest mistake ....something should have been said to us. I apologize if I had done anything to upset the waiter or the chef. If this was the case, I would like an explanation of what that was so I never do it again. La comida estaba deliciosa y con una excelente relación calidad-precio. Se nota que los ingredientes son de primera calidad y están bien elaborados, con unos postres para chuparse los dedos. Antes de la comida dimos un paseo por los caminos de pescadores con unas vistas magníficas y vimos varias truchas. Javier, el dueño, fue muy atento; charlamos un rato con él sobre la zona, el río... Muy recomendable, sin duda volveremos.
