The menu is extensive for those looking to dine as well. The atmosphere is beautiful and lively, with outdoor seating available.
I was disappointed at my visit to the victoria inn. we were recommended to eat here and as such, some time in advance. when booking we are told that on a Sunday it was only a roast and the last service was 6:30 o'clock. we have. booked for 6:30 a.m. and after a long day was traveling very on a roast. when we arrived, we were told that it was only sitting in the open and that “Let your table in the dry” (it was a wet cold autumn evening, it rained the largest part of the day and the pub has a big sail over the outside bank’s) and that they “not serve roasts”. the change in the menu and the outside seat would have been no problem if we had been told in advance. I understand that the things are currently difficult, but a warning or even an apologies for miscommunication would have been nice. I also have a slight concern about what would have happened if our bank had rained. the outside area is beautifully decorated, but there is a small heating that most guests were huddled around. Nevertheless, eating was nice, it was good pub food, but it was overpriced for what it was. the quality of food is the only reason why this is a 3 star evaluation, otherwise it would have been lower. Eating service was fast, I have never served eating before drinks, although we were very much left. a little disappointing.
My partner and I had the most stunning food this evening at The Victoria Inn. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Really recommend, you will not be disappointed! Thank you we will be returning
Our room was very good.Clean ,recently re furbished or just brand new. Provision of breakfast was barely adequate, box left in the foyer. Ingredients ok,but had to be eaten in the room, not ideal. I don’t understand why if they can serve meals at night, they can’t provide...a room to eat breakfast with a toaster and a coffee machine. We had a family meal in the restaurant for ten of us. Everyone’s meal was good ,as was the service.
We were in the area and decided to check out a few pubs nearby. This pub was the standout favorite. The food was delicious and plentiful. I have a food intolerance and the staff were very accommodating. The must-try items are the chips and the homemade coleslaw. The beer, brewed on site, was fantastic. The pub was very clean, the service was excellent, and they were very welcoming to dogs. The beer garden is a fantastic spot to enjoy the sunset over Newgale.
