Freshly prepared to order with home made coleslaw and couscous salad garnish. Fresh crab on brown granary and a prawn baguette served by attentive, friendly smiley people. A joy to spend time and money there.
The cafe was closed despite advertising it was open on its website and saying it opened at 11-00am on the door. We arrived at 12-00 and there was no one around. No idea how good the food is because they can’t even be bothered to turn up
We stopped by the tearoom during our walk around Lawrenny and we were very happy we did! I ordered a Welsh breakfast and my partner had the eggs on sourdough toast. All the ingredients were locally sourced and incredibly tasty. It's a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the view of the quay. The best part was that it's dog friendly with a menu full of treats for our furry friends.
The smallest sandwich ever! The chef even came out with the Artisan bread to show me its “ local” they want to use local ingredients, yet have a Carte D’or ice cream van outside! A teaspoon of couscous salad and a very small garnish of salad x 2 £20 ! Ooops plus 1 coffee. Couldn’t have tap water as it was discoloured?? Clear in the loos with the same water supply?! Cheese leek tart up by £5 with the addition of a couple of potatoes !
I want to thank the woman who served us at the cafe today. It was very busy and we came in for lunch to celebrate my birthday. One staff member informed us that they were not serving ice cream sundaes, which is what we had come for. However, the staff member who we believe is the owner's daughter kindly helped us and made my day. Thank you for the amazing ice cream sundae and delicious halloumi and avocado salad!
