Belle Vue Bar Restaurant

We were not informed when we made our reservation an hour earlier that the restaurant had no food options available except for fish and no hot beverages. When we mentioned that we were not from the area, they suddenly told us that the prices had increased from what was listed on the menu. When the fish arrived, the batter was the same color as the fish and had a jelly-like, soggy texture that clearly indicated it was not fresh. The chips were merely chunks of undercooked potato. When asked for our feedback and we mentioned it wasn’t great, we received a dirty look and the staff walked away, still charging us the full amount. This is just a brief overview of what was a complete disaster. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs, especially if you are not local, as it is definitely not as it appears online. Consider yourselves warned.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant for our Sunday lunch. The meal was absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed it. The service was attentive and friendly, and the prices were reasonable.

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, and fantastic staff. It's the perfect place for special events or just to enjoy a quiet drink.

We visited for breakfast on 11 November with friends. We had a lovely warm welcome. We ordered a large breakfast which was plentiful, hot and very tasty. Breakfast included tea and proper brewed coffee! I'd definitely recommend a visit, we'll certainly be back

We tried to eat here twice as it is just round the corner from where we were staying , but each time they were not serving food. This is despite the notice outside saying Open Now. Food served daily. Obviously staff illness cannot be helped, but they need to change the sign.
