Chalet Hotel d’Ailefroide - Pelvoux

Most amazing experience , live music , wonderful food , kids dining on slack line and boulders in the grounds of the restaurant every one had great time ! Thank you

We spent almost a week in Ailefroide on a month long climbing road trip. We came here for drinks on our first night and came back almost every night after that. The staff were amazingly friendly and the owner is a former guide and was a wealth of information about the surrounding mountains and helped us plan our trip up Mt. Pelvoux. We had a full dinner one night and charcuterie another night. Both were great. The ambiance of this charming old building and out door patios just can't be missed. Hanging our there, sampling beers and trading climbing stories at the end of each days was such a wonderful part of experience in Ailefroide.

Great ice cream, worst steak I've ever eaten, watery lasagna, burger was cooked dry and flavourless, burger bun was rock hard, lovely outdoor area. Really though, every single dish in my group had something wrong with it. The fries were good. Way overpriced!

Dans un très beau parc ombragé, vous aurez plaisir à apprécier des plats simples mais bons et copieux, à des prix très raisonnables.Le personnel est sympathique et serviable.On sent qu’il fait bon vivre à cet endroit, aux portes du Parc National des Écrins.Une bonne étape pour se restaurer avec ou après une course dans le Parc.
