When you walk in to the Valero, you don't see much until you look at the corner and see the flashing sign and the double white doors open. The service was way past what is required, the attendant was wonderful and lively, joking with me and my significant other. We had both breakfast and lunch here. The breakfast tacos were D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! We both got a bacon and egg taco with beans and cheese. For lunch we had a brisket taco with beans, cheese, and pico de gallo. Everything is affordable and so worth being able to be near delightful company and a lively atmosphere. Most importantly, having restuarant level exquisite home cooked meals filled with love.
At first sight, I was skeptical. My idea of fine dining typically does not involve a gas station, but I let my bougie guard down and boy am I glad I did! I opted for a no meat selection, the potato and egg taco in size small which was plenty big. Tacos come in various sizes: small, large, burrito. The standard toppings are cheese, pico, beans, and salsa. Mine was topped with everything except beans....didn't want to offend anyone at work. There is also the option of avocado. Unfortunately, there was none available. Nonetheless, I did this little taco shop props...tortillas fresh and homemade as are the sauces they top your tacos with. There is a lot of flavor without having a hefty hand with the NaCl...sodium chloride...google it. I like it and will return, but not every morning on the way to work...oh but if i could
This place has greatly modernized but the quality crashed through the basement. We ordered 2 breakfast burritos and they were tasteless. My wife had bacon, eggs and beans. I had the chorizo, eggs, salsa and pico. They were more open face because you could not close them and they were not able to wrap. The original older Mexican couple were the best in authentic and VERY hospitable and friendly. We would never, ever return. There is an old Navy saying: At least it made turd ! The bottles of Coke were good.
Best breakfast burrito in town. I'll definitely be back. I had the chorizo, egg and potato burrito... All the way! It was so big they can't roll it! It was like a giant taco. Delicious way to start your day if you are close to la Porte.
