Emma's Mex Grill - Pearland

I am so sad to post this review my family and I have been customers of this restaurant for years. Today I ordered via door dash and we we received our food a portion of our order was missing I immediately called the restaurant and the manager Louise answered the phone he was sadly so rude and unprofessional. From the very beginning of the call he repeatedly claimed that he personally packed the food and all items were properly included. They were not by the way and please know that they use a large white bag and staple the bag closed which it was still upon delivery. Everyone makes mistakes but part of the service business is being able to own up to it and be courteous to your customers I was very nice and honestly was willing to come pick up the missing item, accept a partial refund any of the above but this person we continuously rude and said he has been packing to go orders for ten years and he knows it was included. I am sorry to say we will not be returning.

My 1st time ordering to go, and had no issues calling in and placing the order it was fast, easy and the lady said 15-20 minutes the food should be ready. I ordered the beef fajita for 2 and a side of crazy veggies. I was excited to see all the onions on top of the fajita meat, but it was short lived after tasting the bland, flavorless, oily, mushy fajita meat. It didn't even taste like it had salt. Very disappointed in spending $68 for this meal. I thought I could mask the taste of the meat by making tacos with what I assume where home made tortilla, pico de Gallo, cheese, rice, charro beans, and guacamole. But Gosh darn it, to no avail still tasted blahhh. Flour tortilla where undercook or old I don't know but they were hard and chewy so not sure what they were. Out of the whole meal the rice was the best tasting part. Even the side sauteed veggies were overcooked and mushy with no flavor. I would have been better off choosing my usual spots like Gringo's, Campo Azul even thou it's in Pasadena, or over priced pappasitos Lupi Tortilla at least there fajita meat taste good.

This is really a nice restaurant. The food was excellent as well as service, atmosphere and most of all the restrooms were clean.

The food and service was very good. The prices have gone up, but that is happening every where

Fancy tequila bottles displayed everywhere looking nice but the drinks were just ordinary. Food is good, nothing too special. I'd eat here maybe 4 times a year if I lived less than 5 mins from it.
