Catfish Annie - Payson

Catfish Annie caught the best of Cajun food here for your gastronomic pleasures! Best fried oysters in the Payson area! Look at the poor boys sandwiches with catfish, shrimp or my favorite Oysters! She also has great desserts.

What a great place!! Everything is homemade, had the Fried Catfish w/sweet potato delicious hush puppies.. the cherry cola jam they serve w/homemade biscuits is so yummy, going to buy the jam they sell in the jar tomorrow, so good. Fast reasonable take out food! Thanks!

KANT BELIEVE THIS PLACE INSIDE A GAS STATION/MINI MART! Find great! The owners Chet and Annie are a breath of fresh air .. as restaurant owners they are very passionate and take care of the quality of the food they serve!! I got the broasted 8 pieces chicken flour and it was hands down ... the best chicken around.. boiled to a golden crispy .. large juicy pieces served with 2 sides and 4 cookies with their .. should be famous .. homemade cherry / Cola Marmelade .. yum!! My Hubby turned around the homemade mash and gravy! Will come again next week to try shrimps and geese!! Thank you. Chet and Annie .. You are a good supplement to Payson! X

I ordered the fried catfish with red bean rice as my supplement. The plate came with a fresh, hot house made biscuit the best cherry mouse I ever tasted. The catfish was delicious: crispy outside, juicy tasteful on the inside. Served with an amazing sauce I can't say. Fresh, delicious, inexpensive... my new place. Plus outdoor seating for those with dog friends. Try it!

I had oysters fresh from Washington and tasty fried perfectly. The cherry mouse was from this world, and the chef gave us each one a hint of puppies because I never had one. Everything is done at home (at least as far as I know). My dinner companion had the cat and loved him. It is easy to see why this place gets so good reviews, I still eat my dinner and had to leave this review now because it is so good!
