Hoof's Restaurant Bar - Pawcatuck

We had a reservation, so our table was ready when we were there. There were so many delicious items on the menu it was hard to decide what to get. I chose the Rigatoni with meatballs. The part was big so I took half of it home. They brought bread and roasted red paprika hummus to the table after we sat, and we shared a salad so that we were almost full before the ducks arrived. Even so we ordered the cream to split. It came with strawberries and whipped cream. This is a vibrant city and the restaurant bounced. The waiting staff was very attentive and efficient. I recommend this restaurant.

First time eating at Hoof?s, absolutely delicious and worth every bite!!! The restaurant is located in downtown Pawcatuck,next to the railroad bridge. It is within walking distance to downtown Westerly. We had dinner reservations at 6 o?clock, that I made through Open Table. We arrived and were seated promptly. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. My friends and I started with a Waldorf salad(special), which we split and delicious cocktails. The Watermelon martini, as so yummy and so refreshing. We each ordered an entrée and then shared the most delicious triple chocolate cake to celebrate two of our birthday?s. The Seared scallop over lobster risotto(special) was cooked perfectly. The Chicken Francese was cooked perfectly as well. The spinach, artichoke and sun dried tomato over the chicken was so good. I cannot wait to go back again for dinner.

This place was amazing in every way, highly recommended if you are in the area. The food was authentic and reminded us of being in Rome. Our waiter was witty and great at his job, and told us his favorite dishes and we went with a couple of his recommendations.

We arrived for our 7pm reservation made on Open Table around 6:50pm and checked in with the host. It was myself, my mom and my sister. The wait was long but we were understanding of restaurants being understaffed. At about 730pm we watched as two groups berated the host and we're sat before us even though they had arrived after us (wait being rude is the best way to get seated and get service?! . We were told our meal would be compensated for the wait directly from the host. We were finally seated at 745pm. The espresso martini I ordered and food was incredible! My sister received a completely different chicken dish than she ordered, but she still liked it and finished her plate without even mentioning it to the waiter. Finally, the check comes and the meal is not compensated at all by the restaurant, but that's not why I came so I just paid the bill and ran out of there as fast as possible!! I don't even care about paying if it means I can leave. If you go here, do not make a reservation from 6-730pm.

Loved this Italian restaurant in Westerly/Pawcatuck! We did have reservations and they do recommend making one. The bread and red pepper hummus served was delicious! The food came out very fast and well prepared!! We enjoyed the calamari which was perfect and a great flavor including the cherry peppers and artichokes. We loved our housemade pasta dishes! The pasta was great! I really loved my white truffle fettuccine!! It had a delicious taste with the right amount of truffle and pancetta! The service was great and the waitress helped recommend a perfect wine for my husband's meal, the pinot noir by Saddlebred. Dessert was a key lime pie which seemed to have a chocolate or oreo crust which is was interesting but the consistency and texture of the key lime pie was great! Creamsicle Martini tasted exactly as is and enjoyed the passion fruit mojito too! Will certainly come back again!
