My husband and I went to The Hatch for dinner last night, and just loved it! We shared the special of the day, Prime Rib with mashed potatoes and a horseradish cream. We like our prime rib on the rare side, and the cut was cooked to perfection, with a lovely smokey taste. I had wondered about the horseradish cream but it was light and addicting, and not too horseradishy at all. The mashed potatoes were smooth as silk and delicious. We passed on dessert, but just because we were stuffed. Our server was helpful and attentive. On our next visit to Paso we will definitely stop in again.
We visited this restaurant just after they opened a few years ago and did not have a good experience with the food, service, nor attitude of management. We are locals, and decided to give the restaurant a second try after staying away for many years and feeling as if management didn 't want our business. This time we all ordered the nightly special, which was the beef ribs. The ribs and pasta salad were both outstanding! The appetizer of chicken fingers was good, but not great.....a little too one note for my liking, but good to try. We liked their policy that if we bought one of their carafes of wine, they would waive corkage on our bottle from home. That seems in line with other restaurants in town. Service was very attentive throughout the night. We will return again.
If looking for a place to eat dinner, I highly recommend; great value and high quality food. Great service.
We are still talking about this appetizer...so different. Also shared the rotisserie chicken. Key lime pie dessert a winner too. The old fashion drink is very unique...another gotta try!
