Indulge At The Oaks - Paso Robles

Our first impression walking in was not great; no one else was in the restaurant at pm and it looked like the breakfast room of a lower range corporate hotel, which I suspect it once was. However, the service was warm and welcoming and the food was surprisingly good, considering our initial suspicions.

Mediocre place. In a mediocre hotel. Order fillet, They brought me some sort of strip steak. Service was bad.

Very good food from limited dinner menu. Go for the food, as the ambiance is what you make it w/ friends (it's in a newer, somewhat plain hotel). Wait staff still learning. They try. Lacks the energy of popular places in the area, and a low-energy dinner is what we needed after a full day of activities. Our group was people across the menu food was good.

Food was way too expensive for a normal meal. Also, I didn't think it was a great selection for everyday American comfort food. The food was too fancy for a hotel restaurant that locked their bathroom doors. The waiter was super nice though.

The Kids Mac and cheese was kraft, and not mixed thoroughly. The vegetarian pasta not cooked through. The salmon over cooked. It was awful overall and way overpriced. I would recommend you not eat here.
