Very comfortable spacious room. good eating freshly cooked. owners present, helpful, happy to give a good service.

Called in for a meal on way home , lovely food excellent service.

We had booked into the Red Lion and all seven of use were really pleased with our selection,First of all the owner really made us welcome and gave us a great rundown on the history of the pub,The hotel is spotless and each room is an individua experience and not a corporate mass produced layout.We had 4 of the rooms and they were all perfect and were VERY well equipped, we wanted for nothing,The food was exceptional with a wide selection to choose from. [We had the breakfasts and the evening meals and we were pleased that we did so,The garden area was a real bonus,All of the staff were so friendly but we must say a special word about Crumble the hotel dog who is the loveliest animal we have ever met, a real joy.All seven of us recommend this hotel and were extremally grateful to everyone for a very pleasant weekend.We will be visiting the Red Lion again..... Perfection.

A great place to stay and eat. Both room and pub were very clean. Well decorated and very comfortable. Christine and her staff ever so friendly. Good at night and breakfast were excellent. Lovely spot to sit outside. A fantastic stay and will be returning.
