The Deck at Regatta Point - Parkes

Beautiful breakfast withte the week in this quiet caffe, which was spacious and provided for prams. the coffee was beautiful and I decided to take the avocado on roggen with beet and picked eggs, was very tasty I must say and consider that it was $20 I was expected a wow. inexpensive menu, but a beautiful view and tasty!

Eat and the sea view are the highlights here. Hard to hit this point on the lake burley handlein to get views over the parlament house. the menu is simple, but well done we have the big brekky and French toast. we paid about $28 each with coffee.

Has improved exponentially. I have visited 'the deck' frequently last year, especially because of the excellent situation. in the last six months I have noticed an overwhelming positive change, not only in food quality (and coffee,)! but also in personal. the new management shows innovation, the potential of the deck, and is constantly trying to lift the standard of what was previously a fairly mediocre restaurant. this is a place I would like to bring visitors to canberra now!

What a view!! Enjoyed a peaceful lunch on the deck. Roast veg and freekeh salad was delicious. Staff were polite and make delicious coffee. Perfect spot for weekend brunch.

New but not better. Our first experience with the new management, new chef, and new staff was not a good one. They managed to get the coffee order wrong and then the food order wrong. When the food did arrive it appeared the same as the menu under previous management but seemed to have shrunk...except for the prices. The spanish eggs and corn fritters used to be a reasonable meal but on this visit both left us feeling hungry. Why is it so hard to find a decent breakfast in Canberra?
