Parkerville Tavern

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the food was a disappointment. The fish was cooked well, but the chips were undercooked and the salad was oily. The cheeseburgers were dry and the bread was stale. The price of drinks was also considered high. Overall, the service was good but the quality of the food needs improvement.

Four of us called in for a light lunch. Excellent bar/table service food arrived quickly. All dishes we had were excellent, namely Falafel Burger, Steak Sandwich Fish Chips. Actually all quite filling. Pleasant outdoor setting with wildlife such as parrots, ducks Quando ?, like a small bandicoot, all arrive around 1pm when many people were leaving free food available. Just finished Saturday lunch with a group of 15 hikers. Great food, happy friendly staff, magic venue. Thanks guys. Would recommend the Parky to anyone wanting a lay back lunch.

My local of many years, a place close to my heart; but the quality of food has only gone increasingly backwards over time. Tonight the cheeseburger was hard and barely edible, the duck salad was bland, dry, with peach slices that tasted so bad they were inedible. If we weren’t so hungry and paid so much I would have sent it all back and walked out.

The food was disappointing, especially the steak sandwich which was one of the worst I've ever had. It's outrageous to charge $30 for that, and I would gladly pay $40 if it meant getting a better quality meal.
