Matt's Grill - Parkersburg

The burgers were exceptional, and the restaurant has a charming tavern vibe. Although there was a mix-up with our order, they promptly addressed the issue. However, we did experience a somewhat lengthy wait for our food.

I lived in Pburg for four years and visited Matt's three times, but each experience was one of the worst I've ever had at a restaurant. The food was subpar, and the service was extremely slow. Despite my friends and I returning multiple times in the hope of improvement, nothing ever changed after a year. It seemed like they were trying to emulate Applebee's but completely missed the mark. I find it ironic that they often question the negative feedback they receive online. Isn't that what review platforms are meant for? I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. If you're looking for great dining options, there are excellent and more affordable choices just twenty miles away in Cedar Falls.

I recently visited for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The staff was excellent; they welcomed me warmly as a new customer and delivered exceptional service. The sandwich I ordered was delicious, and I can't wait for my next visit. I'm also eager to help the team by answering the phone!

The food was excellent, but the staff's attitude varied. It appeared that they engaged with men in a certain way, while older women received a much warmer welcome.
