I have the wild mushroom to start and the twice baked wintersquash as my main. the food was excellent and the chefs were very thoughtful and made my sister and I a vegan amuse beech. our waiter, greg, was very enthusiastic and went beyond and beyond to describe the menu with so much detail. if you are looking for fine restaurants in park town with vegan options, firewood is a great place.
Fantastic atmosphere in a large downtown area. I have the Wagyu beef together with potatoes and peppers. Perfectly cooked and they make a great presentation. The appetizers were fine (view for the 4 stars and not 5). Would definitely come back.
The service, food and drinks here well above the weight of a restaurant in Utah. I was actually a little surprised because too much of the fine restaurants in Utah always noticeably fall the ball on one of these three concepts service, food or drinks. In fact, I would say that Firewood was the first Utah restaurant that I was that I would not come think away that it was not in a city with real high-end concept restaurant competition. All courses ' Flavours were perfectly combined as a culinary experience, and the recommendations of the waiter were without on the way. Beverage menu was sufficient without being archival, and what's in the offer was definitely cured to complicate the taste instead of going for maximum options.
Absolutely great staff, too. Fine food at the top. Everything we had from the beginning to the end was perfect. Our waitress was extremely helpful and provided deep information about the dishes. If you can somehow make a reservation in you, you will not be disappointed.
