The pizzas in this place are really bad! Probably same quality as frozen ones. No mozzarella but some similar fake cheese, the dough was super hard to cut. Service is nice, the place is tiny but welcoming BUT the quality of food is really zero. If you need to eat waiting for a show at folies bergere super close) or some other theatre in the area, go somewhere else and you'll be saved from an awful pizza experience! :
Came to Paris for a short city break with my boyfriend. We had a long day out and didn't get back to the hotel until late so decided to go for dinner somewhere in close proximity to the hotel. Upon arrival we weren't sure if it was open or not as couldn't see any other customers but went in anyway. The lady greeted us as normal and we sat down at our table, all felt very cramped. She came with the menus, didn't ask if we wanted a drink and just wondered off. We ordered our food and I had to ask for my drink as she didn't offer, she then went off and didn't even ask what my boyfriend wanted to drink so we had to share one. I had a Diet Coke and it came out in a plastic bottle and I've never been given a plastic bottle of Coke in a restaurant before, didn't even offer if I wanted any ice. To our horror the lady went off to make the food and all we could hear in the process was her sniffing and coughing, really off putting, especially when she was making the food. We were very tempted to leave but she already started cooking and we didn't want to cause a scene. The food came out and my boyfriend looked puzzled as he ordered a meat pizza and out came out a plain cheese pizza with an egg on, obviously not what he ordered. I ordered the pasta and all I could taste was chilli when it wasn't even mentioned on the description. I also discovered a black hair in my food. We quickly gulped it down and got out as fast as we could. The lady was also muttering to herself in the corner throughout the evening, my boyfriend seemed to think she was drunk, not exactly the service you would expect. We paid to realise that after we left she snuck herself a tip, only €1 but still the menu did not state a service charge and a tip is up to the customer whether to give or not. Definitely will be staying far aware from this place for the rest of our stay, a very uncomfortable evening for the both of us!
This is a very small pizzeria indeed. It can seat 12 people. And the owner couple has their hands full with cooking and serving. It is all very friendly, albeit the place gives a slightly amateuristic feel. The pizza was tasty, wine was a good Bardolino. The other guests were all locals, clearly well known to the hosts. Try not to sit near the front door, for you will constantly have to close it to keep the chill out.
