Smokin' Taters Bbq - Paris

We found this place on a visit in the opposite and oh brother, we are so happy that we have made it! eating is amazing, the owners are friendly and helpful, with him is our first time. we will definitely be back! stop the good workers!

It's the very best BBQ around. I've never had a bad meal there. They are only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They sometimes sell out of a menu item. They are that good.

We chose this restaurant because we were visiting the area and hadn’t had BBQ yet. There aren’t a ton of restaurants to choose from in Paris (which is at the north base of Mount Magazine where we were staying). We were so happy we went! This is a family run place, and they were sooo nice. The food was to die for. Our group of 4 had ribs, chicken, pork, and a topped baked potato. Sides included tater salad (potato salad), smoked beans, green beens and mac n cheese. Everything was hot, delicious and fall off the bone delicious. Service was FAST! The decor was super cute and the bathrooms were very clean. Highly recommend! As always, in this stupid covid world, call ahead to be sure they will be open when you go!!

Wow. We called over a month in advance as we had people coming from all over the Midwest to attend a local event. I got there 30 minutes early and they were closed. I later found out they were closed both Friday and Saturday (our night). It was a cluster. We had to try and call people and send people messages on FB to let them know about the change of Venue. We couldn’t let everyone know but we’re able to contact most. No one called us. Very disappointing. I’d never trust them with a group again.

We were really disappointed! We'd read all the reviews praising Smokin' Taters, we were really hungry and we were really looking forward to some great bbq (and sides)So.... the ribs were ok a little overcooked and dry, too much sugar in the rub,but we've had worse and they were not bad.Just not as good as we were hoping for.The Cole Slaw was way too liquidy like a bit of cabbage tossed into a sea of watery sauce.The potato salad was so bland no real flavor at all.The beans were just ok really tasted like a can of beans heated up with some pieces of meat tossed in.The mac cheese was Very Good! Best part of the meal.So..... What's good?Large portions of meat, mac cheese and beansGood prices for the quantities of foodThe young woman working there was very friendly, welcoming and helpful ....Great customer service on her part!Overall... Very disappointing, not looking at going back and can't recommend
